Description

Magnesium stearate, chemical formula C36H70MgO4, is an organic compound, is a white, non-sandy fine powder, in contact with the skin is slippery. Insoluble in water, ethanol or ether, mainly used as a lubricant, anti-stick agent, flow aid.


Advantage:

Lubricant: Magnesium stearate has a good oily smoothness, and is often used as a lubricant in food processing to reduce friction between particles and improve fluidity, which is suitable for the preparation of solid preparations such as tablets and capsules.


Anti-adhesion agent: By reducing the surface tension of the material and increasing its wettability, prevent adhesion between particles, improve the fluidity and ease of handling of powder or small granular materials during transportation.


Filter aid: adsorbed on solid particles to form a film covering the surface of the filter medium, inhibit the precipitation of suspended matter, improve filtration efficiency and extend the service life of the filter material.


Absorbent: Effectively absorbs moisture and is often used as a desiccant in the food industry or as a moisture-proof agent in pharmaceutical packaging.


Emulsifier: As a non-ionic surfactant, it reduces the interfacial tension, promotes the mixing of insoluble liquids to form a stable emulsion, and improves the taste and stability of the product.
