Description

Hypromellose is a non-ionic water-soluble cellulose ether, featuring a white powder appearance, being non-toxic, odorless, easily soluble in cold water but insoluble in hot water. Compared with similar cellulose ether products, it has a higher thickening efficiency and is widely used as a thickener, adhesive, film-forming agent, water-retaining agent and emulsifier. HPMC is widely applied in the construction materials industry and is also used in the medicine, tobacco, detergent and other industries.

Food IndustryCanned Citrus: It prevents the whitening and deterioration caused by the decomposition of hesperidin during storage, thereby achieving the effect of keeping the product fresh.

Pharmaceutical Industry Eye Drops: Since the osmotic pressure of the aqueous solution of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose is the same as that of tears, it causes little irritation to the eyes. When added to eye drops, it serves as a lubricant that comes into contact with the eye lens. 

 Kiln and Ware Industry 

Glaze: It is used as a glaze for ceramic wares. When combined with enamel paint, it can improve the adhesiveness and workability.

Construction Industry
Cement mortar: It can improve the dispersion of the cement-sand mixture, greatly enhance the plasticity and water retention of the mortar. It is effective in preventing cracks and can increase the strength of the cement.
